I really should be going to bed but I just read something really cool and wanted to share it :) Today's (April 29th's) entry of Oswald Chamber's "My Utmost for His Highest" is about uncertainty.
"To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways, we do not know what a day may bring forth. This is generally said with a sigh of sadness; it should be rather an expression of breathless expectation."
Chambers talks about the joy we find when we abandon to God, of whom we are certain. "...when we are rightly related to God, life is full of spontaneous, joyful uncertainty and expectancy."
"Leave the whole thing to Him, it is gloriously uncertain how He will come in, but He will come. Remain loyal to Him."
!!! Seriously, so cool. A promise of spontaneous, joyful uncertainty and breathless expectancy. How very perfect.
Very perfect indeed. And just what I needed to hear today (like every day).
ReplyDeleteI love this.
