Last Friday I got to babysit my wonderful cousins, Anna and Jackson. Jackson is a baby and all babies are cute, but he is especially cute.
In other news, Cathy decided to foster a puppy until she gets adopted, so we are loving our lives. She is also crazy cute (the puppy, not Cathy...).
ALSO. I'm so excited. Because:
1. I finished my finals today...woooooo.
2. Christmas is coming.
3. Even sooner, I'm going to ARIZONA!!! With my best friends. And by sooner, I mean tomorrow. For the WEDDING of another one of our best friends (and Young Life leaders), Danielle. It is seriously going to be so wonderful. It has been a bit of a struggle planning this trip with 6 girls that have never had to do all this alone (book a flight, book a hotel, plan transportation, etc). But it is going to be an adventure and it is going to be magical. Can't wait! We'll be sure to take lots of pictures to share with you.

Love.
Well this is cute. I'd already read most of them before, but they still make me happy every time.

TEBOWTIME
Let's be real, it was only a matter of time before I blogged about Tim Tebow. So here it is. Although, I do think much of the credit for today's win should go to Matt Prater, the Broncos kicker. But all technicalities aside, Tebow's the man.
That's awesome. And really not a slam on Plummer at all. After my mom and I watched this, she told me I should write Tebow a letter and tell him that I put Jesus first, my fam second, and football third. HA. And ask if he's looking for a wife. I told her he probably gets letters like that every day...but not saying I won't do it. I'm sure everyone and their mom knows all about Tim Tebow, but I wanted to let you know that I think he's classy. And hot. (And less than 5 years older than me!)

The evolution of the blonde pre-teen male pop star..
In honor of his birthday (someone wrote about it on Facebook...I promise I didn't just know that), I thought I would remind you all of Aaron Carter. The Justin Bieber of the 90's. Just a couple weeks ago, I was listening to "Aaron's Party" (because it rocks) and Olivia asked what it was. She also didn't even know who Aaron Carter was!! Yikes.
But still, the resemblance is uncanny, right?? Gotta love the pre-teen male pop sensations.
So my sisters and I discussed how Aaron Carter, Jesse McCartney, and Justin Bieber are all pretty much the same person. Except Jesse McCartney was a little older and less successful, and Justin Bieber has been about 10 times more successful than the other two combined.
But still, the resemblance is uncanny, right?? Gotta love the pre-teen male pop sensations.

Pre-Christmas Hibernation
I think my brain has almost completely shut down. Even though finals are
next week and everyone else is spending this week stressing and
studying, I have spent the majority of my time watching
episodes of Friends online. Because it's so good! And because I just
don't have a lot of motivation...I'm sure I'll study a little,
but not today. The lack in motivation to study has carried over to my
blog, but I'm back! And I'm finally writing about my weekend.
Olivia joined us for cooking class on Friday, which was great! We cooked at the Dwivedi's house because Rita was home and she wanted to help us make Indian food! We made Chana Masala and Puri (Indian bread). Saag Paneer was also on the menu, but the homemade vegan cheese was a bit of a struggle. We'll get 'em next time. Rita is hilarious. And she's an amazing cook, but Kritika asked that she stand back and let us learn to make the meal. This was clearly painful for Rita, so she did step in at the end to show us how the Puri was done.
On Sunday, we watched the 2nd half of the Broncos game as a family. Dad put on his retro Broncos sweater and they started to play better. Here's a gem that I captured during his celebration:

Stuck in traffic...but Denver is cool!
Beautiful Indian spices!
Rolling Puri dough
The dough after the tortilla press
Vicki caught on quickly
Chana Masala
After dinner, Rita brought down a couple saris for Alex to try on (because Alex wishes she were Indian and because Rita really loves her). They were so beautiful! I tried to pay attention to how she wrapped it, because I have a feeling that's all Alex will want to wear from now on. Rita ended up giving her a sari to keep and I think it was one of the happiest days of her life. It was so fun to be at Rita and Kritika's house...they are both so loving and fun!
Happy Alex!

That night, I went to the Young Life Christmas party, and you'll never guess what I won in the White Elephant gift exchange. The latest and greatest Christmas album...yes, that's right, by Justin Bieber himself. Obviously, I was pretty happy (and I'll let you borrow it if you want).

I can't resist.

Gosh. Kelle Hampton makes me want to be a precious mom so badly (someday). Please at least look at the pictures in this post...she had a North Pole party at her house. Her attention to detail blows my mind. Is it not one of the cutest things you've ever seen??
